| WINTER
MEETS 2008 |
| The
timing of the winter meets this year has been affected by an early
Easter, at the end of March, so the final meet will be at Roy Bridge
in the middle of the month. The winter meets are subsidised by the
club, so book early to ensure your place and to get best value from
your membership. |
JANUARY
25 th to 27 th CAIRNGORMS MEET
A
new venue for this year, The Strathspey Mountain Hostel, on
the main street of Newtonmore. We have exclusive use of this
18 bed hostel and the very reasonable cost for this weekend
is only £15 per head!!! ONLY
8 PLACES LEFT |
FEBRUARY
22 ND TO 24 TH ROY BRIDGE
We
have three 8 bed lodges booked at the popular “Little Houses”
so a total of 24 places available at £20
per head for the weekend….fantastic value for these excellent
lodges with all mod cons. JUST 13 PLACES LEFT AT 3
rd DEC |
MARCH
14 th to 16 th ROY BRIDGE
I have provisionally booked
two 8 bed lodges for this meet, however if bookings go well
we may be able to get further lodges, The cost again will be
£20 per head for the weekend. BOOK

2008 Meets
We
are currently putting together a list of meets for the rest
of 2008, weekends have already been booked for Skye and the
Peak District, Wales will be booked soon and loose plans are
afoot for weekends in GlenCoe, Northumberland and even in
The Lakes.
Please,
please if you have a favourite crag we miss off the evening
meets list, or would like to go somewhere in particular on
a Sunday meet then please let me know and we will try to accommodate
your requests, also it would be nice to have volunteers to
look after the occasional meet to give committee members a
break.
Well folks, have a good
Christmas, get those bookings in quickly for the winter meets
and see you at the Penrith Wall, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
