As
outdoor enthusiasts we are perhaps more conscious than many businesses
of the impact that we have, as individuals and companies, on our
environment. We see at first hand changes in landscape, weather,
flora and fauna as a result of environmental factors. Our responsibility
is to look after all that we live for and influence those that are
unaware of risk or change. In business too, Freetime is concerned
about environmental issues.
Our policy is as follows:
We
identify any effect of Freetime's activities on the environment.
We
develop suitable objectives and targets in a management programme
and apply appropriate procedures to minimise impacts in everyday
conditions.
We
comply with the relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
We
minimise the inputs of utilities and resources and the outputs of
emissions to the atmosphere, and we endeavour to re-use, recover
or recycle materials where possible.
We
ensure that environmental responsibilities are defined, communicated
and understood at all levels within the organisation and provide
appropriate opportunity to accept those responsibilities.
We
ask our suppliers to declare their environmental goals and encourage
them to adopt best practise.
We
strive for continual improvement in environmental performance.
